Newtown Road, which borders between Norfolk and Virginia Beach, is undergoing a big change. They’ve already torn down the 7-11, Altmeyer Funeral Home, and now the shopping center.
The city plans to create a new mixed-use village center, state of the art business parks, an educational campus, new light industrial space, and new residential
neighborhoods.
It seems like things are on track.
The proposal includes new parks and trails. They’re also expanding the Light Rail which will provide access to downtown areas, the Atlantic Ocean, convention centers, medical centers, The plans look awesome!!! universities and military bases.
The plans and artist rendering looks awesome!!! In order to check out the changes as well as see the artist renderings of the proposed plans click here.
